GCSD Graduation Requirements:
The curriculum at Galena City School District is demanding. In order to graduate from GCSD students first enrolling as a freshman or sophomore student must accumulate a total of 26 credits. Incoming junior and senior students need to accumulate a total of 21 credits, the State of Alaska minimum requirement.
Students who attend all four years with GCSD find that this is not difficult to do.
Transfer students will need to consult with their high school counselor, and specific cases will be handled on an individual basis.
