Yukon Jamboree

Carrie Givens is one of the main people who helps with the annual Yukon Jamboree every year as well as Carrie Pavish-Anderson. The Yukon Jamboree gets a lot of help from students at the schools and people in the community who volunteer and help. The Yukon Jamboree is held at the Sidney C. Huntington School at the beginning of October to celebrate sobriety. The Yukon Jamboree brings the joy celebrating life together here in Galena, Alaska. Before all the fun starts there is a dinner with the musicians for the Yukon Jamboree and people in the community. Dinner is served to you by student and adult volunteers from both school campuses. After being served there is beautiful music to the ears which gets many people up onto their feet, dancing and singing and laughing and having an awesome time. Everybody is asking each other to dance, wonderfully enjoying themselves. This is a chance to have a wonderful time together!
