GILA culinary arts students have the pleasing experience of preparing many savory meals and such delights as sushi, homemade pizza, fresh salmon, and even cultural dishes from different areas of the world!
certification opportunities
Students in GILA’s culinary arts program can receive OJT (on-the-job-training) through Galena’s in-house and culinary work study program, Food Safety Manager’s certification, and Alaska Food Handler cards.
Galena Interior Learning Academy is a free public boarding high school, available to Alaska residents between the ages of 15-19 years old.
