Galena City School District

Each new school year, each enrolled family will receive an email with access credentials to gain entry into Galena City School District’s PowerSchool SIS (Student Information System). This portal allows parents and guardians to view grades, schedules, and other information about your student(s). 

If you have not already setup a Parent Portal account, you will need to follow the instructions shown below. 

Step 1:

Click through to the GCSD Parent Portal using the button or go to  https://gcsd-ps.powerschool.com to access the portal from any internet browser. 

Step 2:

Select the “Create Account” tab (to the right of the Sign In tab) and then press the “Create Account” button. 

Step 3: 

 Fill out the required form information and enter the Access ID and Access Password (found in your email) for up to 4 students. You will receive a separate email with individual Access ID and Access Password for each student if you have multiple children enrolled with GCSD. Each student will be linked to your one Parent Portal account.

Step 4: 

After completing the form, sign in with the username and password you selected and view your student(s) information. (The system may ask you to verify your email prior to allowing you to login for the first time.)
