We’d like to send a big THANK YOU to our families and local community, for all of your contributions and support! To assist with end-of-year celebration, we are hosting a photo story contest to share stories and recognize all of the #GCSDAWESOME things happening out there.

Whether you are a current student, previous alum, or family member, we’d like to hear from you!

Students:
If you’re a current student, send us a snapshot of your favorite classroom project this year, an extracurricular activity, participating in sports, or just hanging at a school event.

2022 Grads:
Share a senior photo, a baby pic (to show how far you’ve come along!), or a momento you’d like to share with your graduating class—and we’ll also highlight our grads over the week of graduation with a special shout out.

Alumni:
As you might know, Galena Interior Learning Academy is celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2022, so we’re calling out to all of our GILA alum to find out where you’ve landed over the years. Did you find a career in CTE? Or did you use your skills in other creative ways? We also have many success stories from recently graduated Sidney C. Huntington students, as well as former students that were with us in Galena back with our District was first established. Some are even working back with us at the Galena City School District today! Let us know about your life, what industry or job you’ve landed in, or your plans for the future. We’d love to know how everyone and their families are doing!

Parents/Guardians/Family:
Share a story about your GCSD student. Tell us the one thing you enjoyed hearing about most—or what made you proud of your student this year! Your successes are our successes and we would love to share your story with the GCSD community.
